Serving as director of community relations in higher education often means that your colleagues are off campus. For Alison McCullick, attending her first ITGA conference gave her the opportunity to “find my people, professionals who work on the same topics I face every day.” She’s been active with the organization ever since. A new board member in 2022, McCullick serves on the communications committee, collaborating with ITGA members throughout the United States on how to promote the organization through social media, marketing and first-time events, such as Campus & Community Day (#campusandcommunity) on April 13, 2022. “As we all emerge from the pandemic, the board is working hard to reconnect with members and strengthen our connections across the globe,” McCullick says, as well as partner with like-minded organizations.
