Chiluvya Zulu was born in Lusaka, Zambia and came to the United States when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Virginia, spending most of her years in Ashburn, Virginia. She attended Penn State University and majored in International Relations and International Politics. She has over seven years of experience working in both finance and applied sociology. Her career started as a Brokerage Investment Professional at Vanguard outside of Philadelphia. Upon returning to State College she worked as a Foundations of Facilitation Course Instructor for World in Conversation located in Penn State's College of Liberal Arts. Most of her career has focused on the importance of dialogue and communication for cross-cultural exchanges.

She currently works as the inaugural Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Director for the Borough of State College. Chiluvya also serves as Co-Chair of the State College Advisory Committee on Policing Communities of Color. Her passion is empowering individuals and communities through dedicated leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. She is committed to leveraging her facilitation skills to advocate for more inclusive spaces. Chiluvya hopes to create a world where every voice is heard and valued, transcending borders and building bridges of understanding.
