Great Plays Grant
Molson Coors remains committed to their position that alcohol should only be marketed, purchased and consumed by audiences above the legal drinking age. They strive to implement robust safeguards, strengthening their programs, processes and partnerships to ensure that only those of legal drinking age purchase and drink their alcoholic products. They work in partnership with law enforcement, retailers, distributors, universities, community groups and industry associations to help prevent underage access to alcohol.
The Great Plays Grant Program, funded by Molson Coors, is administered by the International Town & Gown Association (ITGA). Molson Coors funds one-year grants to higher education institutions to support prevention efforts to reduce underage drinking, binge drinking, alcohol-impaired driving, and other alcohol harms, including sexual violence. Institutions that have signed a sports marketing contract with Molson Coors are eligible to apply. The Great Plays grant funds new or existing programs that operate on college campuses to prevent and intervene in the drinking behaviors and the harmful consequences of alcohol among their students.
The ITGA contracts with Dr. William DeJong who serves as an independent consultant and is the primary reviewer of the grant applications and helps to ensure evaluation metrics are robust and attainable to aid in the prevention of alcohol related issues. For more information contact
