Whether you're working in a university, local authority, housing organisation, community group, students' union, emergency service or another sector partner, chances are you've faced challenges that others are grappling with too.
You may have developed an innovative approach, built a successful partnership, learned lessons from a difficult situation, or gathered evidence that could help others improve their own practice.
That's why we're inviting proposals for the UKTGA Conference 2027, taking place at the University of Reading from 2–4 February 2027 on the theme of "Tipping Point or Turning Point? Navigating the Next Era of Town-Gown Relations."
We're looking for presentations, workshops, discussions and case studies that offer practical insight, evidence, innovative approaches and real-world experience from across the town-gown sector.
We'd particularly welcome proposals that explore:
🏠 Housing reform and the future of student housing
🤝 Community cohesion and partnership working
🎓 Student and resident experience
🤖 AI, digital transformation and data
🌍 Civic impact, sustainability and place-making
Whether your contribution showcases a successful initiative, explores emerging research, shares lessons learned, or challenges conventional thinking, we'd love to hear from you.
Proposal deadline:
18 September 2026
